These Terms apply to the rental of the following equipment ("the Equipment"):
- Roof box - Hapro Traxer 6.6 (410 L)
- Bike carrier - Thule VeloCompact 926 (3 bikes / max 2 e-bikes)
1. Rates
The rates are captured at the time of the booking and are available on the website for reference. We keep the right to change the rates.
All amounts in EUR, including VAT. A refundable security deposit applies: €250 per item, €400 for the bundle.
2. Eligibility & responsible use
- Renter must be 24 or older and provide a valid ID at pickup.
- For the bike carrier, the Renter's vehicle must have a type-approved towbar; the Renter is responsible for correct, road-legal fitment of this towbar.
- For the bike carrier, the Renter is responsible for fitting a road-legal license plate. The Renter is responsible for any fines associated with the provided licence plate.
- For the bike carrier, the Renter is responsible for not exceeding the towbar's nose weight. The Renter is responsible for any fines or damage associated with exceeding this nose weight.
- For the roof box, the Renter must have suitable roof bars rated for the load; the Renter is responsible for correct fitment and for observing the vehicle's and bars' maximum roof load.
- Maximum loads: roof box 75 kg; bike carrier 60 kg total, max 25 kg per bike. Overloading is not permitted.
- The Equipment may only be used within the EU, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Norway, for normal road use. Off-road, competition or commercial use is not permitted.
- The Equipment may not be sublet or used unlawfully.
- Renter is responsible for all fines related to speeding, overloading, incorrect use, incorrect licence plate usage or inadequate use of lights.
3. Booking, confirmation & payment
- The Renter submits a request for specific dates via the website.
- JustRoam confirms availability and accepts the request. A request is not a confirmed booking until accepted.
- On acceptance the Renter receives a payment request. Payment in full is due no later than 48 hours after receiving the payment link.
- For last-minute bookings, the payment request needs to be paid at least 8 hours before the pickup time.
- If payment is not received in accordance with the above, the booking may be cancelled and the dates released.
- Minimum rental: 1 day. Minimum notice: 24 hours before start. A 1-day inspection buffer is reserved between rentals and shown as unavailable.
4. Cancellation & refunds (by the Renter)

The security deposit is always refunded in full on cancellation (less any amounts already owed). Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 2 business days.
Cancellation by JustRoam: if the Equipment becomes unavailable (e.g. damage from a prior rental), JustRoam may cancel and will refund 100% of all amounts paid. JustRoam's liability is limited to the amounts paid.
5. Pickup & return
- Pickup and return are in person in Voorburg at an agreed time.
- Pickup times: between 9am and 8pm, drop-off times: between 9am and 8pm, unless agreed upon differently.
- A short handover is given at pickup; the Renter should confirm the Equipment is complete and undamaged.
- The Equipment must be returned clean, complete and on time. Late return may be charged at the daily rate, per started day, and may affect the next renter.
- JustRoam will fit the equipment on the car as long as it is equipped with suitable roof bars / a towbar. The Renter can be asked to help fit this equipment.
6. Deposit, damage & liability
- The security deposit is taken before/at pickup and refunded after return once the Equipment is checked and found undamaged and complete, normally within 2 business days.
- The Renter is liable for accidental loss, theft or damage beyond normal wear during the rental, up to the amount of the security deposit (€250 per item, €400 for the bundle).
- This cap does not apply if the loss or theft results from the Renter's negligence (for example, failing to lock or secure the Equipment) or wilful misconduct, in which case the Renter can be held liable for the full replacement value (€550 for the roof box, €589 for the bike carrier).
- If the Equipment is stolen during the rental period, the Renter must report it to the local police immediately and notify JustRoam at info@justroam.nl within 24 hours of discovering the theft.
- If the Renter themselves steals or wrongfully keeps the Equipment, JustRoam will press criminal charges directly.
- The Renter is responsible for any damage to their vehicle or third parties arising from fitment or use of the Equipment. The Renter's own motor insurance and liability cover apply. JustRoam is not liable for consequential loss (e.g. spoiled holidays, missed travel).
- The Equipment is not covered by any insurance held by JustRoam during the rental period. It is rented entirely at the Renter's risk, subject to the liability cap above.
7. Rental agreement
Each rental is governed by a digital rental agreement that records the Renter, the Equipment, dates, price and deposit, and confirms acceptance of these Terms. The Renter accepts it electronically before pickup.
8. Privacy
Personal data provided for a booking is used only to process the rental and is handled per our Privacy Policy.
9. Governing law
Dutch law applies. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in The Hague.
