Who we are

What we collect, and why

When you submit a rental request (roof box or bike carrier), we collect:

• Name, email address and phone number - to confirm your request and contact you about your booking.
• Address - to include on the rental agreement and for our own invoicing/bookkeeping records.
• Rental dates, item and any message you add - to process the request.
• ID type and number - checked in person at pickup and recorded by us, never collected through the website.

If your booking is approved and paid, payment details are collected and processed directly by our payment provider, Mollie - we never see or store your card or bank details ourselves.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of processors to run this business, and only share what each one needs to do its job:

• Brevo - sends booking confirmation, payment and admin notification emails on our behalf.
• Mollie - processes rental and deposit payments and refunds.
• Cloudflare - hosts the booking system and stores booking records securely.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else except where required by law (e.g. tax authorities or a police report in case of theft).

Cookies

This site uses cookies for essential site functionality, and - only with your consent - for analytics and marketing. You can choose which categories to allow via the cookie banner shown when you first visit, and change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for this site to see the banner again.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment records for as long as required by Dutch tax law (currently 7 years), and delete other personal data once it's no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, unless we're required to keep it longer.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it, by emailing info@justroam.nl. Some data (e.g. financial records) must be kept for the statutory retention period regardless of a deletion request. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always applies and is published on this page.
